The worst is over

You can have the best of me...

That didn't take long. Check this page out. Aparrently accidently hitting 'Insert' has ruined so many people's work, that there are devices designed to stop it. I just have one question. If you were typing a huge report, and accidently pressed 'Insert', wouldn't you realize pretty much right away and be able to remember the part you just erased? I think some people need a little more help than an 'Insert' key gaurd.

Yeah, I think it's the 'Insert' key Joel. Still haven't found a use for the 'Insert' key, but when I do I'll let you know.

Who drops a deuce in a porto-potty @ a cabaret of 7100 people anyway? I know a certain 6'4", 290lb kid from Speedy Creek who might.

Had a great time at Grey Cup this weekend as well. Riderville was an amazing time, lots of booze and mullets. The bands performing there were pretty good too. Apparently with my cowboy hat I look like the singer for one of them, the Porch Boys, which made for an interesting conversation with some people who "loved our set". Sorry to the people I lied to, but it was just too good an opportunity to pass up. "We love playing gigs like this" and "It doesn't matter if we get a record contract, as long as the fans keep loving our music" are a couple of bull-shit lines that were thrown out there. I hate to say it, but I think that's as close to being in a band as I'll ever be! As good as it was, the game was kind of and after-thought to all of the fun that was had. Grey Cup 2005 in Vancouver? Could be a possibility.

So I made a little upgrade from the good ol' 23" TV/VCR to a 32" Sony Wega. Had to re-arrange the living room, but it's pretty sweet. Hopefully it stays nice and cold outside so I don't feel guilty for watching TV all weekend long....who am I kidding, I won't feel guilty at all.

Chad, there is a huge difference between informed and 'educated'. A person with their GED and doctor, for example, have much different levels of education, but could be just as informed or un-informed as each other. I know a lot of twenty-two year olds who are still in university, such as yourself, that are way more informed in the matters of Saskatchewans political situation than many of the older engineers that I work with. As much as I'm sure you would love to hear, the problem has nothing to do with 'education' or 'wealth'. Everyone should have the right to vote, the problem is people not making an informed decision, and merely voting for the party that tells them what they want to hear, or has the best advertisements.

I recently heard a quote in Gladiator that pretty much sums up what I'm feeling today...
"The mob is fickle brother." This is what the slimy emperors sister said to him when explaining how to rule Rome. I'm sure a very similar scene took place in NDP headquarters prior to their political campaign. A lot of the people in this province were swayed by the NDP focusing things the "mob" could understand. "Elect the Sask Party, and it will make auto insurance to go up" was one major focus that really pissed me off, but when people see superficial shit like that, they can easily be swayed. Promises of a "Better tomorrow for Saskatchewan", while it sounds nice, doesn't sway voters. Anyway, cudos to the NDP on running an underhanded but successful campaign. When you look at how the Sask Party and NDP ran, you can see that nice guys really do finish last.
