So I go to the "big" Weyburn fair the other day (also $8 to get in). What a crock of crap. The rides were all 1/2 scale of the ones in Swifty, and the damn carnies wouldn't let us ride them anyway. For example, on the miniature ferris wheel, the greaseball told us we couldn't be the only ones on it because it would "throw off the balance". He said both sides have to be within 50 pounds of each other or the wheel will fall over. Sure carnie, sure. I know you don't have to be super-intelligent to work at the fair, but really.
